Set on the banks of the Cradle Moon Lodge Lake, the Outdoor Fishing Festival is a festival not to be missed! It is the inaugural year for the festival bringing fishermen together from all over the country.

OFF will have an exhibition space where outdoor and fishing apparel companies can show their wares, and where some of the biggest names in Flyfishing will be doing demonstrations. Murray Peddar, Chris Wood, Terence Babich, Rohan Koegelenberg, and Craig Eksteen will be attending and will be available to give you tips on your fishing.

The event revolves around a Fly Fishing competition on the 32 hectare Cradle Moon Lake, in the heart of the Cradle Moon Conservancy. The species being targeted include Bass, Carp, Barbel, Yellowfish and Kurper. There will be several beats to fish on the lake, making it comfortable for all the competitors to target fish.

The three main prizes for the competition which takes place on both the 2nd and 3rd of February 2019 are a first prize of a Tiger Fishing trip; a second prize of a fishing trip on the Orange River and a third prize of Tugela River fishing trip.

There will be entertainment for the whole family on the banks of the lake, with a kids play area, the exhibitions, restaurants, drink & food vendors.

Entry for the fishing competition is R750 for both days, and entry for the public is R150 per person. Kids under 12 pay the R30 conservancy fee. Gates open for fishermen at 05h30-17h00 and general public admission will be between 09h00-17h00.

See you there! It’s going to be OFF the hook!
