We had up to 170 ml of rain over the last weekend mainly in the East London area so the estuaries like Nahoon and Gonubie are completely unfishable and will probably take several weeks to clear. Prior to that a couple of kob came out on fly together with the odd garrick while I also heard of garrick caught in the small blind estuaries further south on the Ciskei coast. Now that it has cooled down the flyfishing season virtually comes to a standstill in the saltwater and anglers tend to concentrate on trout.
