There is not much to report this month. Smallish shad are being caught along the coast near St Lucia and up at Vidal but they are not nearly as numerous as they should be in late May and this can probably be ascribed to the fact that the water is still too warm for this time of year. Of course one can always rely on some 3 spot pompano so at the moment for either species the lighter fly rods are required.

 There is no change in Lake St Lucia which remains closed at low tide with some sea water going through the channel at high tide.
